Reservation Payment & Cancellation Policies

Standard Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your booking and obtain a full refund until one week before your scheduled date of arrival. (For example, if you are due to check in on Friday the 14th, you may cancel before midnight on Friday the 7th and obtain a full refund.)

 

If you cancel your booking within the week prior to arrival, the following refund schedule applies: cancellation on the 7th day before arrival will result in a 70% refund; cancellation on the 6th day before arrival will result in a 60% refund, 50% on the 5th day, 40% on the 4th day, etc., and cancellation made on the day before arrival will result in a 10% refund. Cancellation on the day of arrival (or a "no-show") will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.  

 

If you book more than two rooms for the same date(s), a different cancelation policy may apply, and in such case, we will contact you by email well in advance of your arrival with details.

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy

We understand that the ongoing spread of COVID-19 might impact our guests' travel plans. We hope our guests will also understand the substantial economic hardship our small business has had to endure as a result of COVID-19. We are a small inn, with only five rooms. When a rentable room goes unrented, it makes it harder to cover our rent and other bills. Accordingly, we have implemented the following cancellation policy for guests who must cancel due to COVID-19:

  • Bookings cancelled late due to COVID-19 may qualify for a partial refund according to the schedule described in our Standard Cancellation Policy above.

  • Alternatively, if cancellation is made at least 24 hours in advance of check-in, guests cancelling due to COVID-19 may request a lodging credit equal to 90% of their original booking, which will remain valid for one year.  (Please email hello@commercehotel.com to rebook.)

  • Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of check-in are not eligible for refund or credit.

  • Bookings for more than two rooms are not eligible for a COVID-19-related cancellation lodging credit.

Online Travel Agencies (OTAs)

The cancellation policy provided by your OTA (such as booking.com, expedia, airbnb, etc.) will determine when you may cancel and avoid penalties. In most cases, you may cancel and receive a full or partial refund until one week before your arrival.  If you made your reservation with an online travel agency, you must cancel through the OTA, as we cannot cancel your reservation for you.

Data Privacy Policy

 

We collect and maintain certain personal information when you contact us or make a reservation. This information is likely to include your name, contact information, and reservation/billing details. 

We do not share this information with other parties except as required to conduct business and as required by law. For example, our booking engine service (Think Reservations) and bookkeeping service may have access to your booking and payment details. Likewise, if you join our email newsletter list, our mailing list service provider (Mailchimp) will have technical access to your provided information.
